Stripe integration can be completed by both non-business and business users.

Setting up a Stripe account is very simple. However, if you are a sole proprietor, do not fill out the form just yet.
Take a look atdo item 3, because the form of business that you need to choose as a sole proprietor is not entirely obvious.

Before you start setting up your Stripe account, remember that, on your booking page, you need to provide at least:

  • seller details

  • privacy policy

  • one service that can be booked

  • Terms and Conditions

What should the Terms and Conditions contain?


A guide to integrating Mafelo with Stripe.

  1. In Mafelo, go to My account (top right corner) -> Settings -> Online payments.
    In the Stripe box, click "Connect Stripe Account".

  2. Enter your email address and set a strong password. If you already have a Stripe account, just enter your login information. In addition, Stripe allows two-factor authentication via an SMS code or an authenticator app.

  3. Provide your business or personal information.
    In the Business type field, you can choose three options, with the "Company" option reserved for companies.

    Therefore, if you run a one-person business that IS NOT a company, select "Sole Proprietor" in the Business type field.


    IMPORTANT! If you mistakenly select the wrong Business Type, go back to Mafelo settings, click "Disconnect Stripe account" and start the connection procedure from the beginning.

  4. Fill in the data in the following forms:

    VAT ID - only for business owners
    Field of business - Photographic studios
    Website - Mafelo booking link
    Product description - e.g. Sales of photoshoots, photos, prints and photo products; accepting payments for photoshoot bookings

  5. Enter the IBAN number, which is the account number with the country code at the beginning (e.g. PL), and the currency of the account.
    Stripe will transfer payments collected from clients to this account number (7 days after the payment).


  6. Enter your data, which will be visible in your client's payment description.


  7. Confirm the information, click "Continue" and wait about 30 seconds.


    After refreshing the screen, confirmation of the integration will appear.



    You can now log in to Stripe.

    If you see a message that your account has been verified correctly, you can enable online payments in Mafelo bookings and galleries.

    If your account appears as unverified, write to us in chat (green cloud at the bottom of the screen).

Mafelo does not charge an additional commission for online payments. The commission is charged only by the operators - according to the rate specified in the contract with the photographer.
