How to set up your own photo publication consents?
In Mafelo, you have full control over the content of photo publication consents you present to your clients. This allows you to perfectly tailor them to the specifics of your photography business and the type of photo shoots you perform. Below, we explain step-by-step how to manage built-in consents and how to create your own personalised consents.
All options related to consent configuration can be found in your account settings.
Click on the Settings tab in the main menu.
Then, find the Consent Types icon and click on it.

A list of consent types will be displayed. If you haven't added your own, only the default consents will be shown.
Mafelo offers a set of standard consents that you can use. Each of these consents is translated by us into all languages available in Mafelo. However, you have the ability to decide which of them will be active and visible to your clients.
Next to each of them, you will find a toggle switch to enable or disable it.
Enabled consent: It will be visible to you and your clients.
Disabled consent: It will not be visible or available to clients. It will also disappear from the list of consents when sending a consent request to clients. In other words, you will only see the consents you want to :)

If you need to add consents specific to your business or type of photo shoot (e.g., newborn, boudoir, commercial shoots), you can easily create your own consent texts.
In the list of consent types, click the Add button visible next to the Consent Types label.
After clicking the button, a new consent creation form will appear. Fill in the fields in the form.
Consent Name: A short, understandable name that will help you identify the consent (e.g., "Publication of photos on Facebook" or "Publication of photos on the website"). This name will be visible to you and your clients in the consent change history.
Consent Text: Here, you enter the full text of the consent the client is to give. Make sure the text is clear and understandable, e.g., "I consent to the publication of photos on the xyz portal". In the consent text, you can use two asterisks at the beginning and end of the text you want to bold. We used two asterisks to bold the text in the example above.
Save the new consent. After saving, it will appear on your list of consent types.
The final, optional step is to set the order of consents. Simply use the arrows next to each consent to change its order on the list.
Once consents are configured, enabled consents will be automatically proposed to your clients in the gallery, and you will be able to send a consent request using the configured consent types. The client will be able to review each consent and either grant or deny it. Information about granted and denied consents will be stored in the Mafelo system for that specific photo shoot.

How do consents work in practice?
Once consents are configured, enabled consents will be automatically proposed to your clients in the gallery, and you will be able to send a consent request using the configured consent types. The client will be able to review each consent and either grant or deny it. Information about granted and denied consents will be stored in the Mafelo system for that specific photo shoot.
