# Mailerlite - basic integration

To integrate with Mailerlite, you need to set the API key in Mafelo. It is needed to transfer data from Mafelo to Mailerlite. Below you will find the guide explaining the process.

In Mailerlite, select **Integrations** from the left-hand menu

Next, click the **Use** button, next to **API**

You will see a list of tokens and the option to generate a new one. Click on **Generate new token**

4. A window will appear where you can enter a name for the token, e.g. „Mafelo”. Accept the terms and conditions and click **Create token**
5. A window will appear with your token. Copy token.
6. Now, return to Mafelo and click **My account**, followed by **Settings**
7. You will see a list of settings, with the **Mailerlite** option at the very bottom.
Click the Mailerlite option. On the displayed page, click **Edit** and select the **Enable Mailerlite integration** option, pasting the previously copied API token

Once saved, you will be able to manually upload client data to Mailerlite. On the other hand, if you want them to be automatically uploaded, click the **Change Auto Upload Settings** button:

You will see an option to enable automatic uploading, and the ability to choose the group in which the contacts from your client base will be placed:

11. Once saved, client data will be automatically transferred. The first data transfer to Mailerlite can take a while - as the transfers are only processed several times a day. Hence, if you want the client data to be instantly available in Malierlite, go to the **Clients** tab and click **Send to Mailerlite**. In this way, all of the client data will be instantly transferred to Mailerlite.
