How to create "Buy now, book later" vouchers in Mafelo?

Do you need to sell vouchers without opening your calendar for bookings? In Mafelo, you can easily set up a package that is available specifically for voucher sales.

Just follow these steps to make a package available for purchase only, disabling the calendar booking option.

Step 1: Prepare the right package

First, we need to tell the system: "This is a package that cannot be booked in the online calendar."

1. Go to the Services tab and select the session type (e.g., "Newborn").
2. Find the package you want to sell exclusively as a voucher.
3. Click the Actions button next to the selected package and choose Edit package.

4. In the package editing window, find the option "Customers can book the package online".
5. Uncheck this option (the box must be empty).
6. Click Save at the bottom of the form.

At this point, your package is no longer available for booking. Now we need to make it appear as a voucher available for purchase.

Step 2: Enable voucher sales

Now that the package is "hidden" from the booking calendar, we need to "show" it as a gift option.

1. Go to the Settings tab in the main menu.
2. Select the Vouchers tile (in the Booking section).

3. On the list, you will see your services and packages. Find the one you just edited.
4. Check the checkbox next to the package name, e.g., "Midi".
5. Optional: Set the voucher validity (default is 12 or 24 months) and add extra questions, e.g., about photo shoot preferences or participants' names.
6. Click Save.

Done! How does it work now?

When your client visits the voucher purchase page, they will see this package with a "Buy as a gift" button. Since we disabled online booking, the system will not display the calendar options, taking the client straight to the voucher purchase.
